“My left eye was crossed, which not only made it hard to see, but the kids at school would make fun of me. Dr. Ezekwo performed muscle surgery that made my eye as good as new.
Plus, my grades have really improved.”

“I began having reading problems when I was in law school. When my grades started dropping, my wife suggested that I make an appointment with Dr. Ezekwo. She gave me a thorough, unhurried exam. As it turned out, I had diabetes and didn’t even know it! She was able to correct my problem…and I recently passed the bar exam.”

“After I failed my driver’s test, I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Ezekwo. A vision test revealed that I had advanced glaucoma. Fortunately, Dr. Ezekwo’s solution allowed me to keep my eyesight…and my driver’s license.”

“A friend of mine referred me to Dr. Ezekwo. I was constantly thirsty and I was losing weight without even dieting — that’s never happened to me before!
Dr. Ezekwo’s training as a medical doctor helped diagnoses my diabetes. Dr. Ezekwo prescribed a low-salt diabetic diet and medications that not only saved my eyesight, but also saved my life.”

Cataracts.
You’ll notice cataracts because they usually start making your eyesight blurry. The good news is that cataracts can be removed, and after surgery, most people can see very well.

Macular degeneration.
Most people over age 40 begin to have problems reading small print. This normal change is usually easy to correct with glasses or contact lenses. Macular degeneration can cause vision distortion even with glasses. If left unchecked, it can cause blindness.

Glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
If you are developing glaucoma or a diabetes-related eye disease, you won’t have any symptoms. Only an eye specialist can tell you if you have one of these eye diseases. If you wait until you start having problems seeing, it could be too late to save you from losing some, or all, of your eyesight.
Who is most at risk?

  • People over 40 years of age
  • Hispanics, Blacks, South Americans and people from the Caribbean
  • People who have diabetes
  • Smokers

Pterygium…What is it, and who’s at risk for it?
Pterygium is a membrane inside your eye that can grow across the eye and interfere with your ability to see. It’s usually caused by exposure to wind and sun. Who’s at risk? Usually Blacks and Hispanics, especially those from the Caribbean.
Dr. Ezekwo uses an advanced surgical technique to successfully treat pterygium that keeps it from coming back.

Do you know the top four diseases that cause blindness?
cataracts macular degeneration glaucoma
diabetic retinopathy
Two out of these four have no symptoms until it’s too late!
